Windlesham

Welcome to windlesham.life

Windlesham.life  is the premier community website all about our special village. It has been created by three longstanding villagers who have a passion for and recognise Windlesham as the intelligent, compassionate and remarkable community it is.

It is a chance to let everyone see what is going on and create real interest in all areas of village life. There are regular news stories, support for our local charities and the opportunity for everyone in the village to publish their own messages and articles.

Our mission is to see our community have the loudest voice when it comes to making decisions about Windlesham.

By creating this completely free platform, we hope greater numbers of our community can more easily keep track of the exciting news and events shaping our village and become inspired to work ever more closely together to deliver the real needs of Windlesham.

No sign up required - No membership fee - It's all about our community - It's free

MORE ABOUT US

Front Page

Air Pollution and Windlesham

We must not put the development of housing where it will damage the people who will live there.  It is for Local Planning Authorities to actually control development so that exposure from close proximity to the source of emissions is avoided – allowing control by the “market” is not the answer.  The Local Development Plan and our related Neighbourhood Plan, to be acceptable, must recognise the need for action, in the interest of Public Health.

THE RIDDLE OF THE MISSING POST BOX. The Post Box was removed when they replaced the telegraph pole in the Kennel Lane lay-bye, temporarily we were told but further investigation has reported that the Post Office have removed it permanantley because there is another one within half a mile !

NOT Good enough, we want it back. we have an elderly population and a half mile walk is too far for some to post a letter.
